View from Guest Wing across the Courtyard Pool at House No.10

House No.10

Project Overview

Set within an established residential neighbourhood in Taman OUG, House No. 10 occupies a sloping, landlocked site with an irregular geometry and limited frontage. The design turns inward, organising the living spaces around a central courtyard and saltwater pool.

Inspired by the Hakka Tulou and the family’s cultural heritage, the courtyard forms the spatial heart of the house. Shifting volumes, angled walls and varying floor levels create layered visual and spatial connections throughout the residence.

Passive design strategies incorporate natural ventilation, shaded openings, roof gardens and solar-assisted systems, integrating environmental considerations into the architectural design.
